Back to Where They Started
Lewis Rice was founded in 1909 by Joseph Lewis and Charles Rice. As the firm grew, the name plate went through a few iterations too. The firm was renamed Lewis, Rice, Tucker, Allen and Chubb in 1932, and in 1989 it changed yet again to Lewis Rice & Fingersh, this time as the result of a merger. Fast forward to 2015 and the firm returned to its roots, dropping the name of retired partner Jack Fingersh to end up where it started, as Lewis Rice.
